Summary
The OBAC aims to provide underprivileged children in the rural areas of Bangladesh with financial assistance so that they can enjoy a quality education.
Challenge
Families in poverty lack the financial means to purchase school supplies, uniforms, and food for their children. Orphans, in particular, require a place to live.
Solution
By providing monthly or yearly financial aid to such families, children in poverty can enjoy a quality education without interruption.
Long-Term Impact
An uninterrupted and quality education gives children the opportunity to prepare themselves for a better future, where they could become the means of financial support for themselves and their family.
Summary
The OBAC aims to provide financial and/or educational support initially to the youth in Bangladesh to help them acquire the necessary skills to prosper in the job market.
Challenge
Families in poverty lack the financial means to receive skills training.
Solution
By providing financial aid to such families, the youth can receive special skills training and enter the job market.
Long-Term Impact
Upon training, the youth will have the opportunity to work their dream job or explore the freelance job market. This will allow them to become the means of financial support for themselves and their family, as well as give future youth the opportunity to receive skills training.
Summary
The OBAC aims to support small businesses in the rural areas of Bangladesh—particularly women entrepreneurs in the agriculture, poultry, fishery, grocery, and handicrafts sector who need funds to run/start their work.
Challenge
Most women entrepreneurs in the agriculture, poultry, fishery, grocery, and handicrafts sector cannot start their business because of insufficient funding, despite being knowledgeable and more than capable to successfully run their business.
Solution
We will help these women entrepreneurs by providing the funds necessary to start their small businesses. We will also continue to support them thereafter.
Long-Term Impact
By initiating the OBAC project, families in need will eventually become financially stable and will also be capable of assisting other needy families in the near future.
Summary
The OBAC aims to provide support to designated natural disaster areas in Bangladesh. As a result of the country's geographic location, Bangladesh is frequently victim to natural disasters. Monsoons have resulted in devastating floods and landslides, and inevitably death and injuries. There are millions who need assistance.
Challenge
Those living in rural areas are impacted the most; their homes and crops are destroyed, and they often lose access to sufficient food and water.
Solution
We will supply shelter, food, clothing, and financial assistance to these designated disaster areas.
Long-Term Impact
The OBAC will provide those in need with a solid foundation so that, if a natural disaster strikes, they will be able to take the proper measures and minimize the damage that the disasters may bear.
